This Solid/Liquid Separation System was custom designed by ODIM Numet for use by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). It is a cross-flow filtration system that processes a radioactive supernatant feed from underground storage tanks. |
 |
Using an AECL patented decontamination process, Numet designed and supplied this custom system to reduce radiation emissions from the process piping in the NRU reactor at AECL's Chalk River Laboratories facility. |

On-line fuelling machines in CANDU reactors are hydraulically powered, and have complex "Valve Stations" to control flow and pressure of D2O (heavy water) to their Fuelling Machine's D2O operated actuators. ODIM Numet has provided these multi section and multi class ASME code nuclear process systems to numerous CANDU stations. |

This vane axial type fan was custom designed by ODIM Numet to remove heat from high level waste storage canisters at a US DOE facility. The challenges of the design included a heavy heat load demand, a large airflow resistance, and very tight packaging requirements, as well as seismic qualification and stringent QA requirements. |
 |
ODIM Numet provides a unique design of spiral type heat exchangers. These units are very compact and can be provided as a bolted or all welded construction. This ODIM Numet custom product has been supplied to numerous nuclear generating stations, and also to the DOE as part of a process that vitrifies high level radioactive waste |
